SGLC DRIVES AGENTIC COMMERCE FORWARD: PROACTIVELY SHAPING THE FUTURE OF TRADE
On 20 August 2026 in Hanoi, Stamford Global Leadership Center (SGLC), together with the Vietnam Institute for Innovation and Digital Transformation (VIDTI), the National Digital Transformation Authority, and the Rong Xanh Fellowship Network, successfully co-organized the Agentic Commerce Vietnam 2026 Strategic Roundtable. The event brought together leading experts, policymakers, and business leaders across banking, payments, e-commerce, telecommunications, logistics, and AI infrastructure.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Lan (Director of VIDTI) emphasized that Agentic AI is no longer just a technology story — it has become a matter directly tied to business models and national competitiveness. As AI shifts from a supporting role to actively carrying out entire chains of tasks — searching, choosing, transacting — a new reality is taking shape: businesses must compete not only to be chosen by customers, but to be chosen by the customer's own AI Agent instead.
🎤 Keynote Speakers:
1️⃣ Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh — Deputy Director General, National Digital Transformation Authority (Ministry of Science and Technology)
2️⃣ Ms. Tran Tue Tri — Founder & CEO, SGLC; Chair of the Rong Xanh Fellowship Advisory Council
3️⃣ Dr. Bangdao Chen – Founder & Director, The Blockhouse Technology Limited (TBTL) & Oxford University College Blockchain Research Centre
4️⃣ Mr. Rui Wang — Vice President & Chief of Staff, Linklogis Digital Technology Group
💡 Three strategic questions on the table:
🔹 How can AI become truly accessible to businesses and citizens
🔹 Who controls the AI Agent — where do data sovereignty and accountability lie
🔹 How customer behavior is shifting as AI plays a growing role in purchase decisions
Beyond high-level discussions, the event focused on actionable outcomes: establishing principles for Agentic Commerce development tailored to Vietnam, identifying priority pilot projects, and forming task forces for near-future execution.
For SGLC, this is more than a technology trend — it's a strategic question of national and business capability. As AI shifts from "tool" to "agent," proactively testing, building models and developing capability today will determine Vietnam's position in this new commercial ecosystem.
SGLC remains committed to serving as a bridge — connecting global knowledge and resources with Vietnam's local ecosystem — to help advance practical pilots and real-world implementation of Agentic Commerce in Vietnam.
