Bangdao Chen
Adjunct Associate Professor

Dr. Bangdao Chen received his Bachelor degree of Computer Science from Shanghai Jiaotong University, and both his Master’s and PhD in Computer Science from University of Oxford, where he also served as postdoctoral researcher. His main research directions include decentralised identity, payment security and communication security. He currently works on research and product development of information security, blockchain and other related technology. Together with his supervisor, Professor Bill Roscoe, he co-founded Shenzhen Hexin China-Europe Financial Technology Research Institute, The Blockhouse Technology Ltd. (based in U.K.), Oxford University College Blockchain Research Center, Oxford Hainan Blockchain Research Institute and other enterprises and research institutions.

Mr. Sanjey Chandran is an investment director, entrepreneur, and educator with over 15 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, and family office strategy. Currently serving as Investment Director at CSD Ventures, he has led and supported strategic investments ranging from international K–12 education to healthcare and longevity. Previously, he drove the global expansion of Modern Montessori International across 11 countries and co-founded Kiddet, a B2B edtech platform that scaled successfully before exit. In addition to his investment work, Mr. Chandran lectures at SMU Academy and serves on the board of SICCI, where he contributes to succession planning and digital transformation initiatives. He is passionate about connecting investors, operators, and innovators to build ventures—and legacies—with lasting impact.
